报告摘要:

Non-structured complex environments, including robot assisted minimally invasive surgery, pipeline inspection and rescue, have put higher demands on robots. To satisfy the safety and flexibility requirements of such non-structured applications, soft robots have the inherent advantages of high softness and environmental adaptability of structure. Soft robotics have become an emerging branch in the robotic field.

In this talk, I will introduce the design, manufacturing, pneumatic control of multi-DoF robots, as well as some typical applications for minimally invasive diagnosis/treatment procedures, pipeline inspections, multi-degree-of-freedom finger grasping.


报告人简介:

Dr. Boyu Zhang is an assistant researcher at the School of Engineering, Westlake University. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in the Department of Precision Instrument from Tsinghua University in 2014 and Ph.D. degree in the Department of Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019. His research areas include 3D printing, minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic devices, flexible electronics, soft actuators, pneumatic drive and control, as well as the application of soft robots.
